CarParks4u.com is one of Zeitguise's current projects. This is their current website. And here you can see where we are moving to.
CarParks4u.com is already a client of Zeitguise's, receiving between 50,000 and 60,000 hits per month. However, both parties decided it was time for a website refresh.
CarParks4u.com is the single most comprehensive source of car park data in the country. It enables users to locate a car park anywhere in the UK, to find how to get to it, and to obtain an accurate overview of each car park?s space availability, price, facilities etc. Despite its approximately 8,000 website pages being relatively well optimised for Google and other search engines, we were aware that competitors had recently come into the market with fresher websites utilising the lastest javascript and ajax technologies. A significant factor in the retention of website visitors is the deployment of easy-to-use, intuitive interfaces. CarParks4u.com requires a second generation website.
Although CarParks4u.com does relatively well in the search engines, search engine optimisation is not a finite task; there are always changes, tweaks, upgrades and improvements that can be made to a website's code and content if that site is going to perform at its best with search engines. Redesigning a website is an opportunity to go back to basics and build a site's optimisation from the ground up.
Following Zeitguise's detailed and thorough consultative process, we started CarParks4u.com on the Zeitguise website development and process plan.. In a nutshell, this describes a honed, sequential set of tasks which lie at the strength of our company, and why we receive so many recommendations. These tasks involve detailed online competitive analysis, keyword analyses, page planning and naming techniques. At which point in the development and process plan, Zeitguise created a wireframe. This is a crude, undesigned plan of a forecasted website layout, developed by those involved in the process to date. Its purpose is to provide positional guidelines, backed by a strong logic, on where various elements should appear on a website. It was subsequently passed to one of our designers.
Designs have been crafted and approved by the client. Zeitguise is currently developing code to ensure interfaces are vastly improved, more flexible and easier-to-use, for example utilising draggable and resizeable maps.
