Web Development Process Plan
Take a walk through the Zeitguise key steps that will take you from your initial idea to a live site aimed at acquiring and retaining customers:
- Identify Target Audiences
- With whom do you wish to communicate? Are you targeting a specific audience or appealing to a wider market? We'll help you prioritise the importance of each target audience.
- Competitor Analysis
- Who is in the market? Which sites appear under specific keywords and search terms? How are they communicating with their audience? How is their SEO working?
- Key Messages
- Once your narrative is agreed then communications are broken down by target audience.
- Keyword Analysis
- An analysis of keywords must now be completed, resulting in a list of targeted search terms.
- Communication Method and Function
- What web functions best fulfil each audience?s communications needs? Well, it helps to know what's available. We'll help you find the best solution, be it CMS-generated web text, email newsletter, forum, blog, events calendar, still images, video, white papers etc.
- Page Planning and Navigation
- Website sections, sub-sections and navigation to be planned based on the above, with page names being agreed based on navigation & keyword analysis.
- Wire-Frame Construction
- A wire-frame of each of the different pages to be built reflecting the basic physical layout of each page type.
- Design
- PNG's or JPG's for each wire-frame to be designed and produced with strict adherence to the content of each wire-frame, i.e. navigation, email newsletter sign-up forms, rss feeds etc
- Code and Build
- CSS and XHTML build to be completed for each of the designed wire-frames.
- Functions and Content
- Your required functionality will be added to the Zeitguise framework, and integrated with your internal systems. Full training and documentation to be provided. Content will be
- Testing: Usability and Acceptance
- So - does it work and is it easy to use? On top of the testing carried out throughout the build process, we'll run final user tests to identify and address any remaining issues. Usability analysis is conducted concurrently with each step of the build process and then a final big picture test is conducted before release. Only once we're all satisfied with the end result will we release the final product.
